SIMILARITIES BETWEEN MODERNISM AND POSTMODERNISM ON AUTHORITY

The enlightenment insistence on the autonomy of human reason was perhaps before all else, a revolt against all 'authorities'. The postmodern recognition that reason has its limits has not brought that revolt to an end.
